摘 要:设立于1897年的南洋公学师范院,是我国近代最早的师范教育机构。利用校史档案,量化考察师范院的学生群体,诸如人数规模、入校年籍与学历、离校后成就等,大致可以窥知:南洋公学师范院是一个为南洋公学自身造就外院、中院师资的过渡性教育机构;师范生入学年龄偏大、生源集于周边地区、入学者多为新士绅;他们是我国近代最早一批从旧学转向新学的新式知识分子中的一部分,以得天独厚的知识优势在清末、民国社会的舞台上成为一个个重要角色,由此彰显出师范教育是近代教育急遽变革的先导因素。The Normal School of Nanyang College established in 1897 is one of the earliest teacher education institutions in modem China. This paper makes full use of archives to study students quantitatively from ages, native places and educational background, graduation achievement, etc. It draws the following conclusions: Normal School of Nanyang College itself is a transitional education institution for the training of primary and middle school teachers; The students are above the age of admission, with most of them belonging to the new gentry from the surrounding areas of Shanghai; They are part of the new intellectuals who receive new learning in modern China; With unique knowledge advantages, they play important roles in modern society, showing normal education is the leading factor of modern education' s rapid change.
