摘  要:今本《老子》第五章"多言数穷"一句的原貌应是帛书本和西汉竹书本《老子》中的"多闻数穷",强调圣人不应以智治国,这样今本第五章就是由两个从天道到人道的思维模式所构成,结构十分清晰。而且"多闻数穷"与"天地不仁"一句相呼应,进一步强化对儒家的批评,体现出帛书之后的《老子》版本中的"思想聚焦"现象。"不若守于中"之"中"不应释为"虚静",而是公正之义,即圣人效法天地之"虚"而为政,其结果就是为政之公,如此解释则"不若守于中"与"天地不仁"一句相呼应。"More words soon die" in the fifth chapter of Laozi should be read as " more hearing soon die" in the silk manuscripts and the bamboo slips in the Western Han Dynasty,which stresses that the sage should not rule the country with wisdom.In this way,the fifth chapter is composed of two thinking patterns from the way of heaven to the way of humanity.And " more hearing soon die" echoes with " heaven and earth are ruthless",which further strengthens the criticism of Confucianism and reflects the phenomenon of " conceptual focusing"." Heart" in the sentence " better keep it in heart" should not be interpreted as " void" but as " justice".The sage must follow the " void" of " heaven" and " earth" to administer the country,so he should administer political affairs justly.In this way," better keep it in heart" echoes with the sentence " heaven and earth are ruthless".
