摘　　要：形容词是英汉两种语言及其语法构词中最活跃也是最重要的词类之一。英汉两种语言在形容词的构成方式、句法功能和形容词名词化三个方面既存在着明显的差异 ,又呈现出一些共同的特点。比较分析它们之间的异同 ,不仅有利于外语教学与翻译 。Adjectives are one of the most active and most important parts of speech in both English and Chinese and their grammatical formation.Both English and Chinese not only have distinct differences but also have some common characteristics in the formation,syntactic functions and nominalization of their adjectives.A comparative study of their similarities and differences is beneficial not only to the teaching of foreign languages and translation,but also to our language communication.
