摘 要:针对中国外语专业学生的"思辨缺席症"和外语界学者们关于探索思辨能力培养途径的呼吁。将认知语言学的相关理论和研究成果运用到日常教学中,对培养外语专业学生的思辨能力能够起到事半功倍的作用。作为人类基本的认知机制,转喻在人类的概念系统、思维和推理方面有着重要的作用。论文结合认知语言学有关转喻的理论,以英语专业的精读课为例,讨论在日常教学中,如何通过凸显转喻思维的课程设计来培养学生的思辨能力。Due to the fact that foreign language majors have "critical thinking deficiency" and many scholars have called on finding the ways to improve their critical thinking, it is proposed in this paper that applying theories of Cognitive Linguistics to classroom teaching would effectively promote English majors' critical thinking ability. As a basic cognitive mechanism, con- ceptual metonymy plays an important role in human conceptual system, thinking and inference. Therefore, taking a text from English Intensive Reading course as an example, this paper tries to demonstrate how to train and promote critical thinking a- bility of foreign language majors by highlighting metonymical thinking in classroom teaching.
