摘  要:教学评估是大学英语课堂教学过程中必不可少的环节。以东北石油大学和英国诺丁汉大学教学评估实践为例,对比分析国内外两所大学英语专业教学中实施终结性评估与形成性评估的内容、过程和方法。结果表明,以诺丁汉大学为代表的国外大学实施的教学评估手段比以东北石油大学为代表的国内大学更为有效,更能培养学生的综合素质,值得国内大学学习借鉴。Teaching assessment is an essential part in the process of college English teaching. This paper, starting from the basic theory on summative assessment and formative assessment, taking a case study of practice on the teaching assessment in Northeast Petroleum University and the University of Nottingham, makes a comparative analysis on their respective content, process and methods in view of summative assessment and formative assessment. Results show that teaching evaluation methods implemented by foreign universities represented by University of Nottingham are more effective than those in domestic universities by Northeast Petroleum University, can develop students' comprehensive qualities, and thus deserve learning for reference for the domestic university.
