摘　　要：Dietary ＇fat＇ （e.g., oils, triglycerides, cholesterol） haslong been considered a major risk factor for cardiovascularand related diseases. As reviewed elsewhere,Vogel in1847 identified cholesterol as a major component of theatherosclerotic lesion, a precursor of cardiovascular disease。
