摘　　要：礼貌是人与人交往过程中约定俗成的行为规范,是相应社会环境下的一种文化现象,善用礼貌用语可以提高社交的效率。本文分析了如何在英语教学中有效运用礼貌原则以及这样做的意义,一方面可以促进师生交流,提高教与学的效率;另一方面教师通过言传身教把礼貌原则教授给学生,可以达到学以致用的效果。Politeness is a kind of principle established by usage in interpersonal, communication,which is a cultural phenomenon applied in a certain social environment. Therefore,a proper use of politeness language is able to improve the efficiency in social communication. This paper analyzes how to make a good use of politeness in English education and the meaning for this application. It is a proper way to foster the communication between teachers and their students to improve the teaching efficiency. On the other hand,it is also useful in meeting the practical use in learning process by imparting this principle through teachers＇ actions as well as words.
