摘　　要：刘荒田撰写的一系列小品文,虽然作品篇幅短小,但能够深刻反映出新一代移民的海外生活以及华人社会的方方面面。随物赋形的创作风格,使其作品呈现出亲切自然,活泼灵动的特点;他文章的美,美在情感,美在哲思,更美在"写心自娱、独抒性灵"。他以挖掘"心灵世界"的深度为源泉,以向"内宇宙"索取素材为根基,以艺术的情怀为旨归,以诗人的眼洞见凡俗的美。A series of essays written by Liu Huangtian,though short in length,can profoundly reflect the overseas life of a new generation of immigrants and all aspects of Chinese society. Thanks to his flexible writing style,his works are characterized by a kind of natural,lively and resourceful quality. The beauty of his essays lies in their emotion,in their philosophical thinking,and more in highlighting personal sentiments and emotional expression.Mr. Liu can perceive the beauty of vulgarity with his poet＇s eyes,for in his heart,the depth of the ＂spiritual world＂is the source,the material of ＂the inner universe＂is the basis,and the artistic feeling is the objective.
