摘　　要：刘古愚先生是晚清时期陕甘维新运动和思想启蒙的重要人物,他继承儒家关学传统,进行了一系列的教育和社会实践。刘古愚先生提倡"强国化民""以学为政""全民皆学""求实学废虚学"的思想,使他成为当时西北地区维新运动的先觉者和实践者。Mr. Liu Guyu was an important figure of the Shaanxi-Gansu Reform Movement and ideological enlightenment in the late Qing Dynasty. He inherited the Confucian school tradition and carfled out a series of education and social practice. Mr. Liu Guyu advocated thoughts of ＂the education of the people so as to make a country strong to take learning as politics universal learning seek practical learning instead of virtual learning＂, which made him become illuminatis and practitioners of the restoration age in the northwestern region.
