摘  要:研究表明,传统翻译教材有两种倾向,一是在体例上重"规定性"而轻"描写性";一是在内容上重"实践"而轻"理论"。相比之下,后起的翻译教材虽有理论,却没有很好解决理论与实践结合的问题。为建立新的翻译教材体系,作者提出过教材编写的"描写性"原则和翻译教学的"观念建构"模式。本文正是对作者应用这些理论编写《基础笔译》的回顾和反思,目的是为了让教师更有效地使用本教材,也是为了找出仍存在的问题,以便完善该体系。Studies indicate that China's traditional translation textbooks have two general features: one is that it lays too much emphasis on prescriptiveness at the expense of descriptiveness,the other is that it lays too much emphasis on technicality while neglecting necessary theoretical aspects. By contrast,some newly-compiled translation textbooks,though having paid attention to theories,do not well solve the problem of how to integrate theories with practice. In order to set up a new textbook system,the author puts forward a descriptive principle in translation-textbook compiling and the Conceptualization Approach to translation teaching. This paper presents how the author applies his own theories to the writing of A Glimpse of Translation,the aim of which is,on the one hand,to help the teachers more effectively use the textbook and,on the other hand,to find out the still existing problems so as to improve this system.
