元功能理论视角下的英语商务合同汉译研究

摘　　要：商务合同在促进跨国经济往来与规范市场秩序等方面有作用重大。商务合同的翻译如果不合规范,就会引起法律纠纷,导致经济损失,甚至扰乱国际经济秩序。语言的概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能被称为语言的三大元功能。韩礼德功能语法理论,对于商务合同的概念功能可主要通过使用特定词语来实现;人际功能主要通过情态助动词与正式词语的使用来体现;语篇功能主要通过衔接手段体现。Business contracts play a significant role in promoting international economic cooperation and regulating market transactions. Business contracts, if badly translated, can cause legal disputes and losses, even disrupt the interna-tional economic order. Given the reasons,the author adopts Halliday, s Functional Grammar approach to analyze the translation of English business contracts into Chinese. From the three perspectives of situational context, textual func-tion and language selection,this paper elaborates how to achieve the three meta-functions of Situational Context, In-terpersonal Context and Textual Context in the translation of English business contract.
