摘  要:外语专业教育与通识教育的结合是近年来外语界研讨的热点。如何在确保学生拥有坚实的语言基本功、凸显专业重要特色的前提下,让教学兼顾知识广度、思辨能力、自主研学能力与人格发展的平衡是外语教学面临的重大挑战。对于零起点的外语专业教学而言,任务尤为艰巨。通识教育与外语教学存在契合点,可将"通识"作为一种理念贯穿于外语教学,在实践中关注通识意识的传递,注重习惯和方法的培养,从而达到通识教育的实质目的,让学生成为通识教育的终身受益者。The implementation of the general education concept in foreign language specialization-oriented teaching has been a hot topic in recent years.It is a great challenge to balance between the cultivation of knowledge breadth,critical thinking skills,self-research and study capability and personality development on the one hand,and the acquisition by the students of solid basic skills of language on the other.The task is especially daunting when teaching beginners in a foreign language.The general education concept overlaps with foreign language teaching in certain respects and can be used as a regulative idea in language teaching itself.By incorporating into language teaching general education awareness and the cultivation of appropriate habits and methods,we can hope to achieve the essential purpose of the concept and the students can become its lifelong beneficiaries.
