摘 要:"虔敬"一直是宗教信仰的核心范畴,但在当下现代性话语体系中,却面临着理性的巨大挑战。从苏格拉底到康德,理性主义主导下的道德观念逐渐消解了"虔敬"原初丰富的内涵,佛教信仰也未能幸免。不过,通过对"虔敬"理性困境的理论反思,我们却能在佛教信仰中,找到走出这一困境的线索。在此不仅"虔敬"概念本身独立的内容能够得以彰显,而且也弥补了理性主义道德观念在论述上存在的缺失。"Reverence" has always been the core category of religious belief, but in discourse of cur- rent modernity, it is confronted with huge challenge from rationality. Ever since Socrates and Kant, the moral ideas under the guidance of rationalism had gradually eliminated the profound original con- notation of "reverence", Buddhism belief did not survive that either. However, through the theoreti- cal reflection of the rationality dilemma of "reverence", we can still find, in Buddhism belief, some clues to get out this very dilemma. In that, the independent contents of "reverence" can be displayed, and the analytical loss of rationality moral ideas can also be made up.
