摘  要:"思辨缺席症"是英语专业教学急需帮助学生解决的问题,特别是高年级语言教学阶段,语言教学的重心应由语言文化知识的讲授转向学生思维能力的培养,尤其是批判性思维能力的培养,这种思辨性能力是学生创新能力培养的基础和前提。笔者在探讨了批判性思维概念和英语专业教学现状的基础之上,指出英语专业教学中批判性思维训练的重要性,并以《高级英语》课程教学为例,将以问题为导向的小组合作式教学模式应用到课堂教学当中,以此激发学生进行质疑、反思、分析、推理、评判等一系列思维活动,促进其思辨能力的培养与提升。"Absence of critical thinking ability"is a problem that English teachers need to solve in their teaching for English majors,especially in the"Advanced English"course. The focus of advanced English teaching should be shifted from the teaching of language and culture to the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability which is the basis and premise for the cultivation of their creative ability. In this article, the concept of critical thinking has been introduced and the problems of present teaching for English majors have been presented and analyzed. On this basis, the writer notes the importance of the training of English majors' critical thinking ability and discusses the possible way of integrating students' ability of critical thinking into"Advanced English"course. In teaching of this course, one way is to apply question-oriented cooperative model in which students are divided into several groups and are required to answer and discuss questions with their partners through thinking, reflecting, analyzing, inferring, evaluating, and so on.Through these activities students' critical thinking ability is expected to be cultivated and improved.
