解读《吃碗茶》中的“脸面观”

摘　　要：聚焦于雷庭招的《吃碗茶》中唐人街华人的"脸面观",从中国文化语境和布尔迪厄的场域理论视角进行解读。在场域理论视角下,"脸面"就是资本,既是唐人街场域内部各个子场域之间获得社会资本的有效手段,也是唐人街场域抵抗美国白人场域霸权的斗争力量。"脸面观"作为中国特有的文化特征,影响着人们的心理,制约着人们的行为,发挥了重要的社会功能。因此,"脸面观"在唐人街的存在具有一定的合理性和必然性。An interpretation is made of the concept of ＂face＂in American Chinatown in Eat a Bow of Tea by Louis Chu,in the Chinese cultural context and from the perspective of Bourdieus Field Theory.From the perspective of Field Theory,＂face＂,defined as capital,is not only an effective means to obtain social capital among the subfields within the Chinatown field,but also the struggle force of the Chinatown field to resist the hegemony of the field of white Americans. As a specific feature of Chinese culture,the concept of ＂face＂plays an important social role in affecting peoples psychology and restraining peoples behavior. Therefore,there exists rationality and inevitability for the concept of ＂face＂in Chinatown.
