摘　　要：戴乃迭半个多世纪的翻译生涯都是在为向西方传播中国文化而奋斗。她与杨宪益的合译和个人独译行为在翻译选材、翻译策略和翻译主张方面都存在明显的差异,对戴乃迭合译和独译行为的差异形成的原因进行探讨,为译者翻译行为探究找到了新的视角和思路。Gladys Yang had devoted herself to the spread of Chinese culture to the Western readers by means of translating Chinese literary works for almost half a century. There are distinct differences between her independent translation and cooperative translation with her husband Yang Xian-yi in terms of the choice on translation materials, translation strategies and views on translation. This paper tries to analyze the reasons for these differences to enrich studies on Gladys Yang＇s translation.
