摘　　要：本文依托图式理论,分析了该理论应用于大学英语阅读教学实践的适用性,以及如何借此理论形成系统性的教学模式培养学生的批判性阅读思维,进而实现大学英语教学工具性和人文性的统一,服务于大学英语教育的可持续发展。This research represents an empirical refection on how students can learn more effectively in critical thinking and reading with the application of Schema Theory to teaching practices in the context of College English education. It also examines how to take advantage of the teaching model based on this theory to cultivate critical reading and facilitate the integration of both instrumental and humanistic nature of College English for its sustainable development.
