摘  要:在人际交往中,语言错误容易识别出来,但语用失误则会轻易被人所忽略,而这种语用失误在常见词中表现得尤为突出,如"hope"这个词。在语法上,高职英语学习者较好地掌握了"I hope that...."和"I hope to do sth."这两个结构。但在"I hope (that)+S"这个结构中,在代词主语和谓语动词的选择上则出现了语用失误,没有考虑交际对象的面子需求,违反了礼貌原则。在此,基于自建高职英语学习者语料库,通过与本族语者语料库进行对比,考察了"I hope"结构的使用特点,并探讨了导致语用失误的原因和高职英语学习者如何选择礼貌策略来应对语用失误的。In interpersonal communication, language errors are easy to be identified, but pragmatic failures are easy to be ignored. Such pragmatic failures are particularly prominent in common words, such as "hope". In grammar,higher vocational English learners have a good grasp of "I hope that..." and "I hope to do sth." However, in the structure "I hope(that) +S", there is a pragmatic failure in the choice of pronoun subject and predicate verb, which fails to consider the face needs of the communicator and violates the principle of politeness. Based on the self-built higher vocational college English learners' corpus, the usage characteristics of "I hope" structure were investigated through comparison with the native language corpus, and the causes of pragmatic failures and how English learners in higher vocational colleges chose politeness strategies to cope with pragmatic failures were discussed.
