隐喻文化翻译策略探究——以《围城》英译本为例

摘　　要：钱钟书小说《围城》中语言运用的一大特点是大量中国式隐喻文化的灵活使用。自《围城》的英译本完成以来,很少有学者对英译本中隐喻翻译的运用和语言特征展开研究。本文通过文献分析的方法,整理了国内外学者对隐喻翻译方法的理解及阐释,分析了原著中隐喻的运用特征及观察英译本中隐喻翻译的实例,探讨了文学作品中隐喻的理解和翻译,然后总结出英译本中隐喻的翻译策略及技巧。Fortress Besieged is a unique sarcastic novel in the contemporary history of Chinese literature in which there are abundant Chinese-style metaphorical expressions that has brought great challenges to translation. The paper explores the metaphorical translation methods about overseas and domestic scholars, and analyzes the characteristics of metaphors in the novel and the translation examples of some typical types of metaphors, and summarizes the translation strategies of metaphors in the English version Fortress Besieged .
