摘　　要：在中国传统文化保留下来的珍贵文献中,《老子》可谓＂经典中的经典＂。《老子》对中国思想的影响是全面的。司马迁用＂深、远、矣＂三个字评价老子及其思想是准确的,儒、道、法、兵等各家,都受到老子思想的影响。所谓的＂道＂,就是指事物发展、变化的一般规律。从老子＂道法自然＂的思想出发,经过后人的阐发而逐渐形成＂天人合一＂的思想,今天也是中国外交＂和谐世界＂理念的一个思想基础。老子的＂道＂,包括丰富的辩证思想,在当代社会仍然具有重要的现实意义。In the precious literature of traditional C hinese culture, LAOTZU（ The Book of Tao and Teh） can be regarded as＂classic of classics＂with its comprehensive and profound influence on C hinese thought and C onfucianists,Taoists,Legalists and military strategists in ancient C hina. Tao refers to the general rule of development and changes of things. W ith the explication of Lao Tzu＇s thought of ＂The lawof the Tao is its being of what it is＂,the thought of ＂Unity of M an and N ature＂is evolved and today it is also the basis of the concept of＂Harmonious World＂in China＇s diplomacy. Lao Tzu＇s＂Tao＂contains rich dialectical thinking and still has great realistic significance in contemporary society.
