基于平行语料库的《萧萧》两个英译本的翻译风格研究

摘　　要：本文以沈从文的短篇小说《萧萧》为源文本,以戴乃迭和欧阳祯的《萧萧》英译本为研究对象,利用平行语料库的研究方法,从词汇、句子和语篇三个层面进行翻译风格的比较研究。研究结果表明：运用语料库软件统计出来的标准类/形比、平均词长、词汇密度及平均句长等文本形式特征能在一定程度上体现出不同译者的翻译风格,但翻译风格的研究还应基于源文本和各译本具体内容的对比分析以及译者身份、翻译思想等方面;在《萧萧》英译本的翻译风格上,戴译用词简单、易懂,词汇丰富性大,句式简短,注重译文的交互性和可接受性;欧译字数多,但词汇丰富性较小,句式复杂,增译现象较多,注重译文的准确性。二者翻译风格差异的原因在于：译者身份不同、翻译思想不同以及翻译策略不同。This paper makes a comparative study of translation styles on two English versions of Shen Congwen＇s short story Xiaoxiao translated by Gladys Yang and Eugene Chen Ouyang from the perspectives of words,sentences and discourse with the method of parallel corpus through data statistics and text analysis.The results show that：Type-token ratio,mean word length,lexical density and mean sentence length,etc,which are calculated by using corpus software,can reflect the translation styles of different translators to a certain extent.However,the study of translation styles should be based on the contrastive analysis of the source text and the specific contents of each translation version,as well as the identities of the translator and their translation thoughts.On the Translation styles of the two English versions of Xiao Xiao,Gladys Yang＇s translation tends to use simple words with high lexical richness and short sentence structures,and it focuses on the interactivity and acceptability of the translation,therefore it is easy to understand;Eugene Chen Ouyang＇s translation has a large number of words but with low lexical richness and complex sentence structure,and it pays more attention to the accuracy of the translation.The differences in translation styles lie in different translator identities and translation thoughts,which leads to the different translation strategies.
