摘  要:高考不仅是一项重要的教育考试制度 ,它还兼有社会考试性质 ,具有复杂的社会功能。除了为高校选拔新生、促进中小学生努力向学、规范中学办学方向以外 ,高考又是维护社会公平、保持社会流动、稳定社会秩序的重要手段。清末废科举时主要考虑教育因素而忽视社会因素 ,给我们留下了深刻的教训。现代的高考改革不仅要着眼于教育本身 ,而且还应顾及社会公平与社会稳定因素 ,在全面研究和长远规划的基础上渐进地推行。The national college entrance examination is not only an important system of educational examination, but has a character of social examination and complex social function. Besides choosing freshmen, accelerating the students of primary schools and high schools to study hard and standardizing the direction of running high schools, this examination is an important means of maintaining social equity, keeping social mobility and stabilizing social order. At the end of Qing Dynasty when imperial examinations were abolished, educational factor was mainly considered but social factor was overlooked, which gave us a profound lesson. The reform of this examination should not only be with thought on education, but should be pushed gradually on the base of full-scale research and long-term layout, considering the factors of social equity and social stabilization.
