摘　　要：翻译是用一种语言代替另一种语言来传达同样的信息,是语际间的信息传递。不同语言在文化背景、渊源、风俗、习惯、政治制度、宗教信仰等方面存在差异。因此,翻译不可只注重源语与目的语语言方面的差异,更要注意其文化差异。本文通过分析词语特征,研究中西方习语的文化差异,希望通过归化与异化的翻译方法,寻找最佳的翻译形式。Translation is to convey the same message from onelanguage to another.It is the message delivery between languageswhich differ from each other in terms of cultural background,origin,customs,political system,religion,etc.therefore,translationshould focus not only on the difference between the source languageand the target language,but also on the cultural differencebetween them.This paper aims to analyze the features of vocabularyand cultural difference between Chinese idioms and Westernidioms,in order to find which form,foreignization or domestication,is better in the course of translation.
