摘 要:网络流行语是一面折射这个时代流行文化与社会发展的镜子。在全球化的浪潮下,中外合作与交流日益频繁,故人们对于网络流行语的翻译需求更为迫切。如何将这些网络流行语准确地道地译为英文,同时又不失本土文化特色,成功进行跨文化交际,成为网络流行词汇翻译亟待解决的问题。文章以苏珊·巴斯奈特的文化翻译观为理论基础,选取2015—2017年最新网络流行语的汉英译本为语料,对其相关翻译策略进行阐述,旨在说明翻译流行语时应以其中的文化内涵为单位,最大化实现两种语言在转换时的文化等值。Internet buzzwords serve as a mirror which reflects popular culture and social development in the current age.In the tide of globalization,cooperation and communication between China and foreign countries become increasingly frequent which demands accurate translation of Internet buzzwords.How to translate these buzzwords into English with both accuracy and authenticity as well as to retain native cultural characteristics are problems to be solved.Based on the Cultural Translation Theory put up by Susan Bassnett,this paper chooses Chinese-English translation versions of Internet buzzwords during 2015-2017 as the corpus and studies their translation strategies to illustrate that Internet buzzwords should be translated in cultural meaning units so as to maximize culture equivalence between two languages.
