摘  要:“儒学”作为思想史上的学派名称和作为现代学科,是两件完全不同之事,而十分遗憾的是,海外新儒家学派一向将二者混为一谈,导致了学术研究中的概念不清。随之产生的混淆为:将思想史的客观研究和今拟加以部分继承的传统儒学价值学信仰视为同一。实际上,无论是前者还是后者,都须在现代世界人文科学理论全域中加以重新检视和再评价。对于其价值信仰部分,自然应该参照当今人文社会科学和伦理学加以重新估定;而对于今日应该如何分析研究儒学思想史,也同样应该根据现代世界人文社会科学理论整体成就进行。我们在此特别指出战后兴起的符号学—解释学等跨学科—跨文化认识论与方法论。因此,有关二课题系统的现代科学研究,均不可能仅在“儒学学科”或“中国哲学思想史学科”之内进行;今日儒学研究根本就应该成为最典型的跨学科—跨文化的前沿学术领域。本文据此立场回顾港台新儒家哲学学派的观点,特别是围绕该派第三代代表哲学家刘述先先生所论述的该派第二代代表哲学家牟宗三先生的学术成就意义问题,略谈自己的看法,以为商榷。Regarding the term ru-Confucianism used today there are two different senses:as a school as such in Chinese intellectual-philosophical history and as a contemporary study of that historical school.Unfortunately,the oversea school of Neo-ru-Confucianism based on Hong Kang and Taiwan have always blended the both together causing a systematic conceptual confusion.Either with respect to the ethical issue involved or to the current studies of Confucianist scholarship the related epistemology and methodology requested by us should be based on the entire modern social-human sciences characterized by their interdisciplinary orientation.In terms of the above the contemporary studies of either traditional confucianist learning or modern Neo-Confucianism are far from being the mere jobs dealt with within professional disciplines of the ru-Confucianism and international Sinology.Semiotics and hermeneutics,among others,prove to be especially applicable in the realm.The present paper discusses a re-evaluative issue of the achievements of some current Neo-Confucianist philosophers,especially including Prof.Liu Shu-hsien and his mentor-the late Prof.Mou Zong-san.
