摘  要:通识教育以培养“完整的人”为目标,是对专业教育过分专门化的匡正,但是它和专业教育并不是完全分隔的,如果能在专业教育中找到实现通识教育目标的适当切入点,“专业课程”可能会成为“通识课程”之外推进通识教育的一条新路径。以法学教育为例,法学专业教育的目标与通识教育具有一定的契合度,通过法学专业教育可以一定程度上实现通识教育的目标,具体途径有两条:一是法学教育中内含的对法治精神的培育和对思维、写作与交流能力的训练,与通识教育目标具有极大的重合度,因此通识教育的同类目标可以在法学教育中得以自动实现;二是通过充实法学主修科目的方式实现通识教育目标,例如在阅读经典中寻找法学的历史与传统,在教学案例中融入社会、经济和文化道德性因素。General education aims at cultivating“complete people”,which helps to correct over-specialization of professional education.However,it is not completely separated from professional education.If an appropriate entry point for achieving the goal of general education can be found in professional education,“professional courses”may become a new way to promote general education beyond the“general courses”.Taking legal education as an example,the goals of legal professional education share some similarities with that of general education.Through legal professional education,the goals of general education can be realized to a certain extent.There are two specific ways:First,the cultivation of the rule of law and the training of thinking,writing and communication skills is also one of the goals of general education.Therefore,the similar goals of general education can be realized automatically in legal education.Second,general education goals can be achieved by enriching the legal major subjects,such as finding the history and traditions of jurisprudence in reading classics,and integrating social,economic,and cultural factors into teaching cases.
