摘 要:当前国内应用型本科院校的大学英语教学对学生的翻译能力需求无法充分满足,同时学生自身的翻译意识和能力也存在着严重不足。针对大学英语翻译教学方面所存在的教与学的问题,基于大学生内在的翻译能力需求,本文分析了大学英语课程的翻译教学现状及问题,指出非英语专业学生的翻译认知意识有待提升,并对如何培养学生翻译能力的有效途径进行了探索,以期促进应用型本科院校大学英语教学中的学生翻译能力培养。At present, college English education at application-oriented colleges and universities cannot fullymeet students’ need for translation ability. At the same time, their translation awareness and ability also have seri-ous deficiencies. In view of the problems of translation teaching and learning in college English, this paper ana-lyzes the current situation and problems of translation teaching in college English based on college students’ in-trinsic needs for translation skills. It points out that non-English majors need to improve their awareness of trans-lation cognition. It also explores how to cultivate effective ways for students’ translation ability in order to pro-mote the cultivation of students’ translation ability in college English teaching at application-oriented collegesand universities.
