摘　　要：著名章回体小说《老残游记》是晚清作家刘鹗的代表作,描写的内容涉及到清朝社会百相和多元文化。《老残游记》哈罗德·沙迪克英译本中,极具中国民族特征的词语、句式、和文化信息的汉英转换都呈现出鲜明的杂合特征。英译本多采用异化翻译策略,为英语读者呈现独特的阅读文本,也较好地传播了中国文化。As a novella in the late Qing Dynasty, The Travels of Lao Ts′an involves the social phenomenon and diversified culture of the Qing Dynasty. Harold Shadick′s translated version is characterized by the hybridity of culture-loaded words, sentence patterns and cultural information. The translated version, mainly employing the foreignization translation strategy, presents a unique text for English readers, and in the meanwhile, disseminates Chinese culture in a favorable way.
