基于语料库的农业科技论文英文摘要的语体对比研究

摘　　要：本研究选择国外EI期刊、大陆、香港特区和台湾地区学者在农业科学领域论文的英文摘要建立语料库,对摘要的语体特点进行对比分析。结果显示,四种不同的文本摘要在微观语言特征上的确存在一定差异。大陆学者英文摘要的平均词数以及摘要类符和形符比比较高,说明其使用的词汇变化程度较低。句法层面大陆期刊的摘要平均句长较长,仍偏向使用被动语态,第一人称主动语态、模糊限制语和复合句使用较少。基于此研究分析,本文探讨了产生这些差异的原因,并指出语言差异的根源实为思维差异,中国学者应在摘要词汇、句法、语态方面向国际期刊看齐。To analyze the English language characteristics of agricultural journal articles’abstracts and provide reference for Chinese writers,we established the abstract corpuses of English EI journals and journals from China's Mainland,Taiwan,and Hong Kong in agricultural field.The results showed that there are indeed differences among the four sources of abstracts.For writers from China's Mainland,the average word number and the rate of type and token are higher,indicating low variety of word usage;the average sentence length is longer,and there is more usage of passive voice,while less usage of first person tone,linguistic hedges and compound sentences.The abstract differences can be contributed to the difference in language and culture of writers from different backgrounds.The writers in China's Mainland should improve their abstract writing skills toward the international standards.
