翻译质量评估模式下中国电影字幕文化词语的翻译——以《一代宗师》和《影》为例

摘　　要：近年来,中国很多优秀的武侠电影在国际上获得关注。电影字幕中文化词语的翻译关系到跨文化信息传播的完整性。目前国内外翻译界从字幕性质、翻译方法和字幕译文准确性对电影字幕进行研究,但是对于电影中文化词语及字幕翻译质量评估的研究尚不多见。本文通过朱利安·豪斯(2015)提出的翻译质量评估模式的结构框架,从语场、语旨、语式三个维度对《一代宗师》和《影》两部国产电影海外上映版字幕中的文化词语翻译进行分析,并对译文质量进行评估,研究发现,物质文化词汇倾向于隐性翻译和显性翻译结合,而社会文化词语多采用隐性翻译的方式。这一研究有利于传播本国文化思想,减少观众的理解障碍,提高电影字幕中文化词语的翻译质量。Following the trend of Chinese culture’s "going global",many excellent Chinese movies have gained international attention.The translation of cultural words in movie subtitles is related to the integrity of cross-cultural information transmission.At present,the global academic field have studied subtitling from the nature,translation method and its accuracy rate,but there are few studies on the quality assessment of cultural words’ translation of subtitle.This article adopts the structural framework of the translation quality assessment model proposed by Julian House(2015),and analyzes the translation of cultural words in subtitles of two domestically reputed movies "The Grand Master" and "The Shadow" from three dimensions:field,tenor and mode.The quality of translation will be assessed through comparison of source and target texts.The study found that material cultural words tend to combine overt and convert translation together,while social cultural words mostly adopt covert translation.This research is conducive to promoting culture dissemination,reducing barriers of the audience’s understanding toward movies from different culture,and improving the translation quality of cultural words in movie subtitles.
