摘　　要：基于Python数据处理技术,本文采集西方主流图书社交平台关于《道德经》英译本的读者评论构建文本数据库,清洗与降噪后量化数据呈现读者星级评价、情感态度、发帖趋势、主题词云图、语义网络图、热度引文指数和主题认知;同时选取高影响力读者评论文本进行质性研究,探究其阅读体验中具体的情感态度、作品思想价值的认同、译本质量的关注维度、词语审美的翻译得失,以期为中国典籍外译作品的翻译审美和语境定位提供启示。Tao Te Ching,also known as Five Thousand Words of Lao Tzu,is a classic work written by Li Er in the Spring and Autumn Period of China. Its philosophy and aesthetic exposition have a profound impact on traditional Chinese philosophy, aesthetics, science,politics,religion,etc. Multidimensional researches on its English translation have been carried out with fruitful achievements. However,most of them used qualitative text analysis to explore the relationship between the source text and the target text,and readers’ acceptance has not received enough attention. With Python, this paper conducted quantitative and qualitative analyses, of readers’ comments on Tao Te Ching. After cleaning and noise reduction, the quantitative data systematically presented readers ’ star rating, emotional attitudes,posting trend, word cloud, semantic network map,popularity indexes of quotations and theme cognition.Meanwhile,top 100 comments with high attentions were selected to make a further qualitative study on readers’ specific emotional attitudes,recognition of the ideological value of the work,and also concern for the quality of the translation.The conclusions were as follows: from the perspective of the overall star rating,emotional attitudes and posting data,the overseas target audience’s overall acceptance of the English version of Tao Te Ching was satisfactory,although there were different voices,and their attention and enthusiasm kept growing. According to the observation of word cloud and semantic map, readers could accurately grasp the ideological connotation and typical characteristics of the work,and shared positive reading experience. Furthermore,overseas target readers had a very high acceptance of the original quotation of Tao Te Ching,among which "those who know others are wise,and those who know themselves are wise"ranked first with the popularity index reaching 4540.
