社会语言学翻译研究综述——起源、关联与展望

摘　　要：社会语言学翻译研究强调翻译的社会性,关注译文的意义传达而非形式表达,从而具有更强大的解释力和描述力。文章在梳理社会语言学翻译观的起源、探讨国内外研究的关联并对其未来进行展望后认为,社会语言学的5个分支学科,即变异研究、语言社会学、交际民族志学、语言社会心理学、互动社会语言学,在翻译研究中仍有大片空白亟需填补。文章建议,未来研究可多关注翻译与社会语言学的“社会层面”,进行系统研究。Translation study from the perspective of sociolinguistics emphasizes the sociality of translation by focusing on meaning conveyance rather than formal representation,thus harboring much stronger explanatory and descriptive powers.Based on discussing the origin of translation study from the perspective of sociolinguistics,relevance between studies at home and abroad,and prospect of study from this perspective,this paper argues that five sub-disciplines of sociolinguistics,namely,variation studies,the sociology of language,ethnography of communication,social psychology of language as well as interactional sociolinguistics wait for more efforts to fill their gaps in the field of translation studies.It suggests that future study should focus more on systematic study of translation and the“social side”of sociolinguistics.
