摘　　要：目前高校英语教学更关注单词所对应的汉语词义,而忽略了隐喻性表达,导致学生难以全面掌握每个词语义项之间的相互联系。因此,基于某高校2个非英语专业班级,展开了一学期的教学对比实验,探讨了大学生隐喻意识培养与英语词汇学习效果之间的关系,结果表明培养学生隐喻意识能够显著提高词汇记忆效果,且能更好地帮助他们理解和掌握一词多义。At present,college English teaching pays more attention to the meaning of each word,but ignores the metaphorical expressions,which makes it difficult for students to fully grasp the interrelation between the meanings of the sentence as a whole.Through selecting two classes of non-English majors,this study launched an experiment to analyze the relationship between metaphor awareness cultivation and English vocabulary learning.Results show that developing students’consciousness of metaphor can significantly improve vocabulary memory,and can help them better understand and master polysemy.
