摘　　要：《红字》和《祝福》都讲述了女性自我在强大的他者社会里遭遇不幸和受到惩罚的故事。两部小说的主人公海丝特和祥林嫂身上集中体现着他者建构下的自我生存困境,凸显出社会中他者伦理缺失和自我言说的困难,她们迥异的命运结局反映出中西方文化中不同的自我观和救赎观。霍桑和鲁迅对自我和他者之间伦理关系的关照对当代网民暴力行为具有警示意义,他们对于人性问题的思考为推动人的现代化提供了丰富的精神养料。Both The Scarlet Letter and Blessing tell the stories of misfortune and punishment that the female self encounters in the powerful“other”society.As the protagonist of each novel,both Hester Prynne and Mrs Xianglin epitomize the conflicts between the individual self and the social other,the loss of other ethics and the difficulty of self-speech.Their different destinies reflect different views of self and salvation in Chinese and Western culture.Hawthorne and Lu Xun's observation on the ethical relationship between the self and the other gives a warning to the violence of contemporary netizens,and their thoughts on the problems of human nature have brought remarkable enlightenment to modern society.
