摘 要:随着社会老年教育的发展,英语成为老年大学的热门课程。老年学员作为特殊的受教育群体,在英语学习中表现出极大热情和独特性。以温州老年大学为例,调查问卷表明,老年学习者的英语基础、学习动机、学习需求、学习方式、学习效果都有所不同,因此,老年大学的英语课堂教学应该根据老年人英语学习特点和规律,在课程内容安排、教学活动方式等方面因材施教,探索一条适合老年群体的英语学习之路。With the development of social education for the elderly,English has become a popular course in elderly education.As a special educated group,elderly learners have shown great enthusiasm and uniqueness in English learning.Taking Wenzhou Elderly University as an example,the survey shows that the English foundation,learning motivation,learning needs,learning methods and learning effects of the elderly learners are different.Therefore,the English classroom teaching in the elderly universities should be based on the English learning characteristics and patterns of elderly learners to set curriculum contents and teaching activities for problem and doubt solving and carry out teaching activities according to learners’aptitude,so as to explore a suitable way of English learning for the elderly.
