《水浒传》疫情词的两译本考释

摘　　要：通过《水浒传》赛珍珠译本和沙博理译本平行对比的方法,重点考察“瘟疫、时疫、热病、疟疾”四类疫情词的翻译发现,两位翻译者有不同的翻译策略,赛珍珠多保留原文的风格和语言表达形式,目的在于向外国传递中国特色文化气息;沙博理一般用直译加意译的翻译手法,翻译方式更加多样,词汇选择更加丰富精准。A parallel comparison between Pearl S.Buck’s and Shapiro’s versions of The Water Margin,this paper focuses on the translation of epidemic related words“plague,epidemic,febrile disease and malaria”.Pearl S.Buck retained the style and language expression of the original text in order to convey the cultural flavor with Chinese characteristics to foreign countries.Shapiro generally used literal translation plus free translation,with various translation methods and more accurate vocabulary selection.
