基于归化和异化策略下的跨文化翻译研究——以《活着》英译本为例

摘　　要：余华的代表作《活着》被汉学翻译家白睿文介绍到英美国家之后,引起了广大文学家以及媒体的关注与好评,这与白睿文为翻译所倾注的努力与心血密不可分。在“跨文化翻译”的视角下,以“归化”和“异化”策略的使用为出发点,探讨了白译本对原作中中国文化的再现和传播问题,并提出跨文化翻译在顺应译语读者的同时,应最大化地保留原作的源语文化,从而达到跨文化交际的目的。After Yu Hua's masterpiece To Live was introduced to the UK and the US by the Sinology translator Michael Berry,it has attracted the attention and got praise of famous writers and the media of western countries.This success is closely related to Michael Berry's efforts for translation.From the perspective of“cross-cultural translation”,this paper uses the strategies of“domesticization”and“foreignization”as the the starting point to discuss the reproduction and dissemination of the Chinese culture in Michael Berry's translation version.And this paper also proposes that cross-cultural translation should maximize the retention of the culture of source language while accommodating target language readers,so as to achieve the purpose of cross-cultural communication.
