摘 要:在我国高等教育全力推进“双一流”建设的背景下,反思世界各国高等教育的发展理念与培养经验,有助于我国本科教育更好地适应时代变化,提高培养质量,促进内涵式发展。回溯美国高等教育的发展可见,美国一流大学在不同的时代背景,基于对社会发展与经济变革之关注,形成了多元化、多层次的办学定位,构建出较为完善的大学本科通识教育体系。其核心理念一是高度重视跨学科的教学体系,培养学生敏锐的批判性思维能力;二是注重培养学生全球化背景下的跨文化交流知识和人文素质。这些经验有助于我国本科教育聚焦特色化、多元化、差异化办学,加强多学科与跨学科整合及改革;唯如此才能响应时代呼唤,促进我国高等教育之内涵式全面发展,更好地培养全球化创新型人才。Under the guidance of the“Double First-Class”initiative,higher education in China has entered a new stage of intensive growth and connotative development.Reflections on its progress in a broader global context can help us improve the quality of undergraduate education in China and direct its progress to better adapt to our rapidly changing era.In particular,examining the American experience allows us to see how its top-tiered universities have adapted to societal changes to transform them selves into diversified and multi-dimensional institutions and establish a successful general undergraduate education system.Their core concept—building highly interdisciplinary learning and transcultural studies programs to cultivate students critical thinking ability and foster their understanding of the importance of the humanities in a global context—can benefit undergraduate education in China.By setting up diversified and differentiated goals and deepening multi-layered and interdisciplinary integrations,we can further promote the intensive growth of our universities and help our students raise their awareness of their role as global citizens,thus succeeding in better training innovative talents needed in our rapidly globalizing era.
