摘 要:随着多媒体技术的广泛应用,英语阅读教学采用多模态模式已成为趋势。多模态教学不是多媒体教学,多模态教学包括语言、板书、音乐、眼神、表情、手势、PPT、音响、视频、网络等多种模式。开放大学(广播电视大学)的英语阅读课程采用多模态教学模式,能够使抽象的语言变为具体的姿态、声音或图像,把枯涩的、难于理解的、难于用语言解释的含义通过非语言形式表达出来,进而帮助学习者充分理解和掌握学习的重难点,增强对知识点的记忆和应用。多模态教学有利于调动学习者参与教学过程的积极性和主动性,有效提高学生的英语语言综合运用能力,提高英语阅读课程的教学质量。With the wide application of multimedia technology, it has become a trend to adopt multimodal mode in English reading class. Multimodal teaching is not multimedia teaching, which includes language, blackboard writing, music, eye contact, facial expression, gesture, PPT, audio, video, network and other modes. Multimodal teaching mode has been adopted in English reading class of open universities(radio and television universities),which can make abstract language into concrete posture, sound or image, and explain dull, obscure and unexplainable concepts with nonverbal forms, so as to help learners fully understand and master the key and difficult points in learning, and enhance the memory and application of knowledge points. Multimodal teaching is conducive to arouse students’ enthusiasm and initiative to participate in the learning process, and effectively improve students’ comprehensive English language ability and the quality of classroom teaching.
