论《水浒传》粗俗语的不可译

摘　　要：粗俗语反映了一个民族特有的思维方式和独特的文化传统,虽然粗鲁鄙俗,却承载大量的文化内涵。粗俗语的翻译不仅要考虑语言的转换,还要顾及文化的转换,有时会在目的语中遍寻不得与其相对应的表达方式,这种文化差异所带来的语言空缺就有可能造成译文和原文理解上的误差,从而导致语言的不可译。《水浒传》人物语言生动传神、见情见性,尤其是各色人物口中的粗俗语蔚为大观。由于这种中西方文化的差异,《水浒传》中的一些粗俗语在文化意象、感情色彩、人物性格及语言特色等方面产生了不可译现象。Vulgarisms reflect a nation’s typical thinking mode and unique cultural tradition.Although they are vulgarandimpolite,vulgarisms contain a lot of cultural connotations.The translation of vulgarismsought to take into account the conversion of culture as well as the conversion of language.There is a fact that translatorssometimes are unable to find the corresponding expressions in the target language.The language vacancy caused by such cultural differences may bring about an understandingdiscrepancy between target text and source text,which thisresults in the untranslatability of language.Shui Hu Zhuan is featured with the vivid and expressivecharacterutterances,with the vulgarisms in the mouths of various charactersspectacular.Owing to the difference between Chinese and English cultures,some vulgarisms in Shui Hu Zhuan arise the untranslatability in cultural image,emotional color,characterpersonality and language characteristic.
