摘  要:本研究以国内6所院校的655名大学生作为研究对象,对其进行了关于通识教育理念下大学英语课程思政元素学习需求方面的调查研究。结果表明:(1)学生对大学英语课程思政元素总体需求情况良好;(2)对以中华文明为代表的东方文明的总体需求程度高于西方文明,在具体学科维度上,对历史学的需求程度最高;(3)不同年级、专业和学校的学生需求差异呈现一定规律性;(4)年级和学科显著影响学生对大学英语课程思政元素的需求程度;(5)学生学习大学英语课程的动机呈多元化特征,工具性动机仍占主导。笔者认为,大学英语课程思政教育必须将通识教育作为其有机组成部分,大学英语课程思政元素系统要加强中国文明元素的融入,要注意跨学科通识教育和专业通识教育比重的平衡,才能完善优秀人才知识结构的培育和人文素养的提升。The study aims to investigate the nonEnglish major EFL learners’ needs for "curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness" elements in College English curriculum under the guidance of the philosophy of Liberal Education.The results indicate that:(1) The mean of the participants’ needs for "curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness" elements in College English curriculum is 4.01,which is much higher than the average level.(2) The mean of the participants’ needs for eastern civilization is higher than the corresponding western civilization.Among the specific dimensions of western and eastern civilization,the mean of their needs for history is the highest.(3) Regularities can be found in the needs of the participants from different grades,disciplines and universities,e.g.the mean of the needs of freshmen is higher than sophomores’,the mean of the needs of students from liberal art disciplines is higher than those from the disciplines of science,the mean of needs of students from double-first rate universities is lower than those from the first tier universities, which is lower than those of the second tier universities.(4) Grade and discipline significantly influence the needs of the participants for "curriculumbased political and virtuous awareness" elements in College English curriculum.(5) The participants’ motivations for learning College English course are diverse,among which the instrumental motivation for acquiring language knowledge,earning a credit or passing examinations is still powerful in the context of Liberal Education.According to the results,the study points out that Liberal Education is an indispensable part of curriculumbased political and virtuous awareness,Liberal Education can enrich the connotation of curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness and make it more explicit and efficient,which is helpful for the realization of its goals.In order to implement curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness in C ollege English curriculum,priority should be given to inte
