摘　　要：语用能力是二语学习者有效交际不可或缺的能力,是衡量学习者语言能力的关键指标。《中国英语能力等级量表》明确界定了语用能力,提供了系统的描述框架,可为我国英语语用教学提供参照。考察《中国英语能力等级量表》中语用能力的界定、内涵与描述框架后,针对现阶段教学各环节存在的问题,指出语言使用者的英语语用能力并非在于掌握更多的语用知识,而是在于能够运用语言做事(Cando),即理解与表达意图,成功实现交际目的。在“Can do”理念指导下,英语学习者、教师、考试机构可参照量表自我测评、设计教学活动、更新语用测试理念,促进英语语用教学改革,助益国际英语人才的培养。Pragmatic ability plays a significant role in effective communication of English,and has become a crucial factor to evaluate the competence of language users and learners.The clear definition of pragmatic ability and its systematic descriptive framework provide reference for English teaching in China.With the examination of the definition,connotations and descriptive framework for pragmatic ability in CSE and the analysis of current issues of Chinese pragmatic teaching,it is suggested that language users are supposed to clarify that improving pragmatic ability means not mastering more pragmatic knowledge,but using language to convey intentions and communicate.Under the guidance of“Can do”approach,CSE should be used by English language learners for self-assessment,by teachers for organizing teaching activities,by testing organizations for reform pragmatic assessment,so as to promote pragmatic teaching and cultivate international talents of English.
