摘 要:视听技术是大众传播技术的早期形式,其发明及应用带领世界走进了大众传播时代。作为美国教育技术的发端,视听教育贯穿于整个20世纪,为教育技术的发展提供了基础,经历了运动式发展到冷静、落幕的过程。不过,视听技术很好地融入了后来发明的计算机等信息技术中(虽然也还独立存在),因此回顾这段历史对未来仍具现实意义。美国20世纪视听教育的期望影响和现实影响之间有着显著的反差:每种视听技术的诞生都会引发商家、政府、研究者等的关注与推行,期望对教育产生变革性影响,但视听教育仅停留在实验阶段或小范围应用状态。探索其背后的原因对未来教育发展有着重要的启示价值。Audiovisual technology is the early form of mass communication technology. Its invention and application have led the world into the era of mass communication. As the origin of American educational technology, audio-visual education ran through the entire 20 th century, providing a foundation for the field of educational technology, and has experienced a movement-style development to a calm and ending process. However, audio-visual technology was well integrated into information technologies such as computers that were later invented, although it still exists independently, so looking back on this history has practical significance for the future. There was a tremendous contrast between the expected and realistic effects of audiovisual education in American in the 20 th century: the birth of each audiovisual technology will arouse the attention and implementation of businesses, governments, researchers, etc., and were expect to have a transformative impact on education, but audiovisual education only stay in the experimental stage or small-scale application state. Exploring the reasons for the failure of audiovisual education has important enlightening significance for the future.
