摘　　要：英语阅读教学是一项综合性的语言活动教学,它能有效提高学生的英语口语能力,给初中生创设相关主题教学的语境,帮助学生发现主题中所拥有的知识。以主题意义探究为目标、以阅读语篇为载体的阅读实践活动,对于学生英语素养的培养和阅读理解能力的提高具有重要作用。本文基于主题意义探究,对初中英语阅读教学的关键性和教学策略进行了研究。English reading teaching is a comprehensive language activity teaching,which can effectively improve students’oral English ability,create a context for teaching related topics for junior high school students,and help students discover the knowledge in the topic.Reading practice activities aimed at exploring the meaning of the theme and taking reading text as the carrier play an important role in the cultivation of students’English literacy and the improvement of reading comprehension.Based on the exploration of the theme’s meaning,this article researches the criticality and teaching strategies of English reading teaching in junior high schools.
