语性理论视角下的文学翻译“四字格”探究——以《坏血》的两个汉译本为例

摘　　要：语性即每种语言独有的品性、特色。语性理论以目标语为中心,认为由于不同语言之间客观存在的差异,在翻译中应尽量发挥目标语的优势和独特性,扬长避短,尽显目标语的个性与魅力。四字格作为汉语重要的语性特征之一,充分体现了汉语的博大精深,因而在文学翻译中被广泛应用。以畅销纪实文学作品《坏血》的两个汉译本为例,从语性理论的角度分析四字格在文学翻译中的优势:简洁明了、琅琅上口、行文地道、文白交融、修辞美感。然而,如果把握不当,则可能出现语法错误、词不达意、搭配不当、背离风格等问题。因此,四字格的使用应当建立在充分了解两种语言个性的基础上,还须注意以下几点:遵循语用规范、控制用词数量、忠实原文风格、防止过度归化。由此可见,认为语性理论对四字格在文学翻译中的应用具有重要的指导和启示意义。Linguistic nature is the unique characteristics of each language.The Language Character Theory(L-C Theory)points out that the advantage of the target language should be exerted to the utmost in translation.Four-character idioms,a unique and profound linguistic form of Chinese language,are widely used in literary translation.This paper takes a bestseller Bad Blood as an example and studies the four-character idioms in its two Chinese versionsfrom the perspective of L-C Theory.In literary translation,a four-character idiom has significant advantages in conciseness,rhyme,idiomaticity,classicality and rhetorical beauty.However,problems in grammar,meaning,collocation as well as the deviation of the original language style cannot be ignored.To make better use of four-character idioms,excessive use should be avoided.It’s also essential to follow linguistic norms,be faithful to the original style and refrain from over-domestication.Therefore,theenlightenment of L-C Theory on the four-character idioms in literary translation is profound.
