摘　　要：《格萨尔》的英译历史已达一百余年(1905—2022)。通过对《格萨尔》15个英译本的爬梳,展示史诗的英译类型与英译方式。结合史诗英译中存在的二度翻译,文化过滤;诗性缺失,韵律不足;文本固化,活态尽失等三个问题,可知以诗译诗,韵律再现;合作翻译,扬长避短;深度翻译,文化补偿的英译策略具有更好的效果,并且为藏族活态史诗《格萨尔》的英译指明发展方向,助力当前方兴未艾的格萨尔学研究,也可以为我国丰富的少数民族口传文学的对外传播提供理论范式,为中国少数民族文化“走出去”提供可资借鉴的途径。From 1905 to 2022,the English translation of Epic Gesar has more than 100 years.Through a comprehensive review of the 15 English versions of Gesar,this paper analyses the skills and modes that adopted in these the English translations.It could be found that there are three kinds of problems exits in these translations namely cultural filtering,lacking rhythm and fixed expression.In order to improve the English translation quality,this paper argues that translate epic poem by creating poem in English with proper rhyme,translate epic poems in cooperating way and avoiding inadequate cultural weakness,translate epic poems in depth by studying both home and target languages cultures.These three methods provide the theoretical norm of translation for the Chinese minor ethic oral literature and a proper approach for‘the strategy of going out’of the Chinese ethic culture.
