摘  要:行业特色高校是国家推进重大战略领域、关键领域人才培养与科技创新的前沿阵地。行业特色高校外语教育肩负复合型人才培养支柱、国际化科技创新支撑、全球化人文交流支点的重任。经过70年的探索与发展,北京科技大学外语教育与学校共同成长发展,历经初创起步、快速成长、改革发展和跨越进步四个历史阶段,形成了服务行业有力、学科内涵丰富的外语教育体系。文章通过对北京科技大学外语教育70年历程进行梳理反思、总结提炼,探索行业特色高校外语教育发展路径,以期为国内同类高校外语教育高质量发展提供启发和借鉴。Universities featuring industry-specific education are at the forefront of the nation’s effort to advance talent cultivation and the scientific innovation in strategic and key areas. The foreign language instruction in these universities underpins their cultivation of compound talents, international scientific innovation, and the global people-to-people exchanges. Foreign language instruction in the University of Science and Technology Beijing(USTB) has grown in sync with the university. The past seven decades witnessed its birth, bourgeoning development, reform, and leapfrog progress. Nowadays, a foreign language instruction system featuring strong support for the industry and rich academic capabilities has been put into place. This paper reflects on the 70-year development of foreign language instruction in the USTB, and explores the way forward for the foreign language instruction in universities featuring industry-specific education, in an effort to provide inspiration and reference for the high-quality development of foreign language instruction in universities of this kind in China.
