摘　　要：19世纪中期墨海书馆内以王韬、李善兰、管小异等为代表的华人译者与西方传教士一起,翻译出版了大量的西方宗教及科学书籍,对中西文化交流及中国科技发展做出了重要贡献,但译学界对他们译者身份研究较少。墨海书馆的成立为传统文人转换为近代译者提供了历史契机:科举落第、时代动荡、生活所迫,他们从传统文人转换为近代译者,当时社会根深蒂固的华尊夷卑思想,使得他们无法认同自己的译者身份,这也不可避免地影响到他们作为译者的翻译选材及翻译策略。文章从身份认同视角,整合了时代、译者、身份和文本几大因素,结合文本内外因素,考察墨海书馆译者身份认同,为译者研究提供新的视角。In the mid-19th century, Chinese translators like Wang Tao, Li Shanlan and Guan Xiaoyi, together with western missionaries, translated and published a large number of western religious and scientific books in London Missionary Society Press. The publication contributed greatly to the cultural exchanges between China and the West and to the development of science and technology in China. However, little research has been done the translators’ identity. The establishment of London Missionary Society Press provided a historical opportunity for them. The failure of the imperial examinations and the turbulence of the times transformed the traditional literati into modern translators. Due to the deep-rooted ideology of Chinese cultural superiority over the foreign people, it was difficult for them to recognize themselves as translators, which inevitably affected theis selection of translation materials and translation strategies. In terms of the times, translator, identity and texts, this paper, considering the internal and external textual features, examined the identity of these translators, which provides a new perspective for the study of translators.
