摘  要:当前,学员军事英语的ESP词汇认知程度低与词汇习得需求高相矛盾。因此,基于ESP理论探索军事英语词汇课堂教学的重要性,以及ESP词汇有效教学法,提出军事英语课堂词汇教学要重视ESP教学规律,促进ESP与EMP的融合,突出围绕需求的听说语言能力;要依托课堂和教材,选择直教词;要以需求和学员为中心创新课堂教学设计,发挥测试与辅助资源的作用。English Program in military academies consists of two modules,English for General Purposes(EGP)and English for Specific Purposes(ESP)or English for Military Purposes(EMP).The results of questionnaire show the contradiction between the learners'limited cognition of ESP vocabulary and the higher vocabulary acquisition demand.Accordingly,this paper illustrates the significance of ESP theory to classroom-based vocabulary teaching of military English and effective methods to enhance teaching practices,including attaching importance to ESP teaching principles to promote the integration of ESP and EMP,focusing of the core vocabulary of the textbook and designing creatively the student-centered classroom-based teaching.
