摘 要:主位推进理论是功能语言学的重要概念,对语篇分析有着积极的作用。该理论将句子划分为主位和述位两部分,认为句子中主述位的关系以及篇章中主位推进的模式能够反映信息传递的方向,从而体现语篇构建的整体思路。针对当前中学生英语写作缺乏连贯性和衔接性的问题,本文探讨了主位推进理论在概要写作教学的两个环节——阅读和写作中的应用。案例分析表明,主位推进理论在阅读中可以帮助学生定位语篇话题,梳理语篇结构;在写作中可以帮助学生训练主位意识,增强写作逻辑。As an important theory of functional grammar,thematic progression can help with text analysis processes.By dividing the clause into theme and rheme,the theory proposes that the relation between theme and rheme within a clause and the patterns of theme-rheme progression between clauses can reflect the way of information flow and text development and construction.This article discusses the application of thematic progression in teaching English summary writing to tackle with senior high students’problem of lacking coherence and cohesion in writing.Through sample analysis,its application in both English reading and writing activities is looked into.The analysis suggests that the theory can help students identify the topic and the text structure in reading,and it can help students develop the awareness of theme and rheme to improve logic in writing as well.
